White shirt with a collar, the 1935 home kit, worn with navy blue shorts. In it England thrashed Germany 6-3 on May 14, 1938 at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin, a match remembered because the England players gave the Nazi salute before kick-off on the instructions of the British government. Since 1937 England shirts had already carried numbers on the back.
