White wool shirt, with a collar and the embroidered three lions badge, worn with navy blue shorts. In it England beat world champions Italy 3-2 on November 14, 1934 at Highbury, the so-called “Battle of Highbury”, with seven Arsenal players in the starting eleven. England did not take part in the World Cups of that era: it made its World Cup debut in 1950.
