Data controller

The data controller is Aura de Barrio, based in Paraguay, which runs Aura Archivo.

What data we collect

• If you only browse: we don't ask you for any data. Our hosting providers log technical data for each visit (IP address, browser, page visited and time) to keep the site running and to prevent abuse.
• Content removal form: your name, your email, the link to the content and the reason you write.
• If you create an account: your email, your username and what you do on the site (votes, favorites and, later on, comments, memories and contributions). If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email and profile picture with us; we never receive your password.
• Once we enable the premium plan: the status of your subscription. Payment details are processed directly by the payment provider; we never see or store your card.

What we use it for

• To make the site work and to keep you signed in.
• To respond to your requests and questions.
• To show your username next to what you post or contribute, if you choose to.
• To manage your subscription, once it exists.
• To protect the site from abuse and comply with the law.

We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.

Cookies

We only use the cookies needed to sign in. We currently use no analytics or advertising cookies; if we ever add them, we will let you know and ask for your consent where required.

Who we share it with

We work with providers that store or process data on our behalf:

• Supabase: database, accounts and image storage. The data is hosted on servers in São Paulo, Brazil.
• Vercel: hosting and delivery of the website, with servers in various countries.
• Google: only if you choose to sign in with your Google account.
• Our email provider: sends the sign-in links from contacto@auradebarrio.com.
• Payment provider: once the premium plan is enabled.

This means your data may be stored outside Paraguay. We only share data with authorities when required by law.

How long we keep it

Your account data, for as long as your account is open. Content removal requests, for up to one year after they are resolved, as a record. Technical visit data, for the period set by our providers, usually a few weeks.

Your rights

You can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it or stop receiving communications. Write to us by email at contacto@auradebarrio.com, by direct message on Instagram to @aura_de_barrio or using the content removal form and we will reply within 10 business days.

Minors

The site is not intended for children under 13. If you are a minor, ask your mother, father or guardian to help you before creating an account.

Security

The site uses an encrypted connection and database access rules so that each person sees only what they are meant to. No system is foolproof, but if we detect a problem that affects your data, we will let you know.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above and, if the change is significant, announce it on the site.
