In it River won the Apertura 1996 and the Clausura 1997, on the way to the tricampeonato (three titles in a row), and the 1997 Supercopa against São Paulo; it was Enzo Francescoli's last shirt. It was also worn by Marcelo Salas, Julio Cruz and Santiago Solari.
