Red shirt from 1990, from the time when coach Kenzo Yokoyama dressed Japan in the red of the national flag and replaced the hinomaru on the chest with the Yatagarasu, the JFA's three-legged crow. The red was dropped in 1992, after Japan failed to reach the 1990 World Cup and the 1992 Games. The recreation shows a white polo collar and the JFA crest.
