High confidence
Based on several clear photos.
It is Guadalajara's classic crest, created in 1923-24 from the city's coat of arms. It is surrounded by a blue circle bearing the legend «Club Deportivo Guadalajara» and rests on vertical red and white stripes, the club's colours. Its design is attributed to Ángel Bolumar, Everardo and José Espinoza, and Antonio Villalvazo.

- What changed
- Before 1923 the club used only the initials «C.G.». The 1923 crest added Guadalajara's coat of arms and has changed very little since. In 2009 the club unveiled a modernised version without the city's coat of arms, but the fans rejected it and the traditional design returned.
