The shirt of the back-to-back German champions: Helmut Schneider's Dortmund won the 1956 final in Berlin (4-2 against Karlsruher SC) and repeated the feat in 1957 with the same eleven (4-1 against Uwe Seeler's Hamburger SV), with goals from Kelbassa and Niepieklo. In 1956-57 the club played in the European Cup for the first time: it got past Spora Luxembourg and went out in the first round to Manchester United (2-3 and 0-0). The recreation shows a golden yellow with no sponsor, a black V-neck and long sleeves with black cuffs.
