High confidence
Based on several clear photos.
Espanyol's current crest is a circle with white and blue stripes, surrounded by a border bearing the words «RCD Espanyol de Barcelona» and topped by the royal crown. The stripes come from the coat of arms of admiral Roger de Lauria, and the crown recalls the title of «Real» granted by King Alfonso XIII in 1912. This version has been in use since 2005.

- What changed
- Compared with the 1995 design by Pere Durán, the 2005 change was mainly one of colour: the yellows of the crown and the border became gold tones and the inside of the crown turned a deeper crimson. The simplified crown and the Catalan legend with the name of the city were kept.
