Red version of the shirt that Umbro launched in 1984, when it replaced Admiral as England’s kit supplier, with fine stripes woven into the fabric. For the 1986 World Cup in Mexico a lighter, more breathable version was made, with an inscription beneath the crest. It was not used in the finals: England played in white and lost 2-1 to Maradona’s Argentina in the quarter-finals.
