High confidence
Based on several clear photos.
Circular blue crest with a white ring and the legend “KIELER S.V. HOLSTEIN” at the top and “VON 1900” at the bottom, in white letters separated by two dots. In the center, inside a white circle, is a red shield with a white nettle leaf with serrated edges above a gray boat, the motifs of the Kiel city coat of arms. It is the emblem the club uses today on its official website.

- What changed
- There has been no recent redesign: in August 2026 the club added a stylized stork as an additional symbol and the motto “Wir sind der Norden”, but made clear that the traditional crest remains unchanged. The design was born in 1919 from the union of the emblems of the two founding clubs, has been worn on the shirt since 1921, and has kept its essentials ever since: the Kiel coat of arms, the colors, the shape and the legend.
