Municipal stadium of the city of Fortaleza, the only one in the city, owned by the Prefeitura: Fortaleza uses it but does not own it, and shares it with Ceará and Ferroviário, among others. It opened on 14 September 1941 in the Benfica neighbourhood and for decades was the main stage of football in Ceará: there Fortaleza won the 1973 state championship, the last before the move, and in 2002 sealed its return to Série A with a 2-2 draw against Paulista. After a major renovation from 2008 to 2011 and another in 2021-2022 (it reopened on 22 May 2022), it now has about 20,000 seats, and Fortaleza uses it as an alternative when the Castelão is unavailable.
