Nike's 2012-13 home shirt with red and white horizontal hoops, known as “Waldo”, inspired by the flag and by the 1994 World Cup shirt. It was worn by both the men's and the women's national teams. In it the United States won the 2013 Gold Cup, beating Panama 1-0 in Chicago with a goal from Brek Shea.
