## A club born in Santísima Trinidad Club Rubio Ñu was founded on 24 August 1913 in the Santísima Trinidad neighbourhood of Asunción. It was created by young people from the neighbourhood, who chose a name and colours in tribute to the Paraguayan children who fought in the War of the Triple Alliance, remembered for the Battle of Acosta Ñu. That is why it wears white and green, the colour of hope. Over time, two clubs from the same neighbourhood, Itá Ybaté and Flor de Mayo, joined it.
The fans
Rubio Ñu's people identify with the Santísima Trinidad neighbourhood and with nearby neighbourhoods such as San José, Santa Rosa and Loma Pytã, where many families have followed the club for generations. The team and its fans are known as «albiverdes» (the white-and-greens) or «ñuenses». Its great rival is Sportivo Trinidense, from the same district, with whom it contests the Santísima Trinidad derby. This neighbourhood derby has also been played in the División Intermedia, as in May 2019 at La Arboleda.
