It was a poor season: fifth in the Apertura, tenth in the Clausura and knocked out by Cerro Porteño in the semi-final of the Torneo de Invierno; in the Copa Libertadores they finished bottom of their group, with Rosario Central, Coritiba and Sporting Cristal. The recreation shows the faded black band and the «LA NACION» sponsor.
