High confidence

Based on several clear photos.

This is the crest América has used, with few changes, since the 1950s: a circle with the map of the American continent in blue over the panels of a football and, in front, the initials «CA» in red. The continent and the letters come from the first crest, drawn by «Cheto» Quintanilla, the same player who suggested the club's name. It has no eagle, even though «Águilas» (Eagles) is the team's nickname.

What changed
The first emblem, from 1916, had only the letters «C» and «A» intertwined, and the map of the continent was added soon after. In the early years of professionalism, in the mid-1940s, the crest was used inside a triangle next to an eagle, but that design lasted only a few seasons. In the 1950s the football panels were added behind the continent, which turned blue, and the letters became red; since then there have only been touch-ups, such as the 2010 one, which made the yellow and blue more intense.
