Nike's second home shirt for América: yellow, with blue sides and collar, thin red lines down the flanks and Coca-Cola on the front. In it the club won Verano 2002, its first league title with Nike and the ninth in its history, ending a 13-year wait for a championship. In the final it lost the first leg 2-0 to Necaxa and turned it around with a 3-0 win in the second leg, sealed by a golden goal.
