The first shirt of Club América, founded on 12 October 1916 in Mexico City. Its cream shade comes from a faded, light yellow shirt worn by founder Rafael Garza Gutiérrez «Récord», together with navy blue shorts. That combination gave rise to the nickname «azulcremas».
