Known as the “Bumblebee”, this Umbro shirt combined black and fluorescent yellow hoops and was worn as the away shirt between 1996 and 1998. In 1996-97 it carried the CR Smith sponsorship, which left the club's chest the following year. That season Celtic finished second in the league, fell in the Scottish Cup semi-finals and went out of the UEFA Cup in the first round.
