It opened on November 30, 1913 with a 1-1 draw against Brescia and had covered stands with dressing rooms underneath. It was Bologna's home for fourteen seasons, until the last match on May 8, 1927, shortly before the move to the Littoriale. In that period the club forged its first scudetto, that of 1924-25.
